Butterfly Vette
I took this pic during Bloomington Gold '05. It had just gone through the Mecum auction as a no sale.
Anyone ever seen this thang before or know something about it?
Rather interesting to say the least.

Thanks Vettebuyer!
Georgia - I posted the pic once back in 2005 but no one knew anything about the car.
Wonder where it is now?

I think there is a special car club for a car like this.......!

my father
My father did most of the fiberglass on this car when I was about 5 years old. He also did the upholstery in this car....1975!!! Oswald Garcia!!! Ron and Carlotta failed to give my father any creditin the magazine!!! I remember this car and actually had a copy of the magazine, but it got misplaced. My father worked the fiberglass with a friend of his, who didn't get credit either, but he can't remember his name. Long time ago.

It seems commonplace that people who did most of the work get the least credit, my friend Mike has others taking credit for his stuff all the time...After I sold it my wide body sat at a local vette dealers I had a fellow who saw it there at a cruise take credit for building my car...
In the case of flutterbyvette I saw it somewhere in person, while the theme might not suit too many I do love the old school approach, Priya might dig the color...
As far as the rear deck, no one did too much work there it's a basic John Silva Mako rear deck ( Motion gets credit for makos but John Silva invented the kit ) with louvers removed & some extra windows added,
Here is a picture of the transport fellows loading the one I bought that is in the shed and I guess will just end up being wall/shop art.
