Way back when, before I found that our '79 originally came with the standard steel Rally wheels, I replaced the old American Racing Gamblers with the optional aluminum wheels. I'm not completely sold on the idea but I've considered replacing the optional wheels with the standard wheels. But if I do that why not go up a size?

I've been checking out the eye-candy that are the Custom Image Corvette fender flares, but that wife shot down that idea. Is anyone running a set of Vintiques 16x8 Rally wheels on their C3? If so what tire size is required?

Photos would be great because I'd like to see how they look on the car. Googling only seems to produce photos of 17" and up.

16x8 Chrome Ralleys, 255/16/50 Comp TAs. Fit fine, no issues. Car sits a little lower cuz they are about 25" tall.

I have the Wheel Vintiques chrome 16x8's. Tires are 235/60R16, just over 27" diameter.
