Your owner's manual explains operating temperatures. 195 - 210 is normal. 220 is not overheating.

The common sign of a failed/failing water pump is coolant loss from the weep hole.

Are you losing coolant?

I know when my water pump was going bad, I heard a noise coming from under the hood. When I checked I looked for water at the pump, found none. So I grabbed the fan, and it wiggled I knew I had found the problem, bad bearings.

I am still working on getting an owners manual, car didnt have one.
Its good to hear that 200-220 temp is ok and it never gets near red warning mark. the punp seems to have no wiggle and is not weeping water that i can see. I first thought the "tinging sound" was the ac compr but am now pretty sure its the pump.
