Default Corvette engine block identification

Would appreciate any assistance in identifying the exact I.D. of an engine I obtained from a friend back in the early 1970's. I know it came from a Corvette of a kid next door who could not get it to run not knowing that the timing chain had jumped time. I have not been able to identify the "V" on the stamping from all of the index codes online. The two series of numbers in front of the right bank head read as follows:
7106783 VI2I5HT

My problem is that the numbers after the V aren't all numbers. What I think should be V 12 15 HT are distinctly stamped as upper case "I" instead of "1".

Any help would be appreciated.

From what I can find so for, it appears to be a 1968 327/350 manual transmission, not sure of the dating.

It's normal to see the character I being used to represent the number 1.

This block came from '67 Corvette serial number 6783. The engine was assembled in the Flint MI engine plant on Dec. 15 1966 as a 327/350HP with manual transmission.

Nice find!
