1982 Corvette, what do you think its worth?

Cam specs are
Duration 275/280 @ .050 208/221
Lift with 1.5 rockers 474/510
Lift @ 1.6 rockers .510/.544
After looking at these #s yes that cam should be ok, we can use up to a 224 duration.
Also that was ground on a 112 LSA

that's what I thought, I was planning on going ZZ4 and keeping the E4ME carb on my '81 and read the cam would work fine.

Like on that 224 duration cam, my calcs show that the overlap is exactly 0. INT=224, EXH=224, LS=112;
[(INT+EXH)/4-LS] x 2 = 0

I'm partial to the C3....even more so for blue two-tones (see sig).
Drive and enjoy the car but sometimes I think these cars maybe worth more in parts. IMHO you've got close to $6K in parts assuming everything is working

I only paid 6k for it But I'd like to drive it to work and maybe have some fun doing some mild modifications first before I sell it. It does need a few things fixed but overall it's a solid car. The motor is nearly new (although I cannot confirm that it was a ZZ4 as I originally thought) but it sounds healthy. And the paint looks new too. Its needs some electrical items. Windows and power mirrors don't work for instance.

I went ahead and picked it up last night. Having fun driving it today on my day off The power windows work (I thought he said they didn't) but are sluggish going up. The front end needs rebuilding and probably could use some new shocks. The car sometimes veers to the right when braking. But overall I am happy with the purchase:

I have an opportunity to buy a 1982 crossfire corvette with 14,800 original miles. It has always been garaged and is mint, I was told it needs a fuel pump. My mechanic says it will cost $1000 to get is like new and I was wondering what iy is worth. Can anyone tell me approximately? I am told from my mechanic that it is worth 10,000 to 14,000 does this sound right? Thanks very much. Kevin

the interior looks nice, but the few things (AC) wrong can be expensive to get working (of course).
some people want numbers matching cars....
so you have to think if that's going to bother you or not?
i have a friend who has an 82 that only has 13K miles, got to drive it, whew, it was fun to drive!!!
yeah, i would start w/ "what does he want for it" and work from there....
it does look nice...oh, a dealer north of me, has an 82 that is in pretty good shape (not as nice as my friends 82), but this one has 30K miles on it, and they are wanting $15K for it....and it has sat all summer still for sale! not sure if that one is worth $15K, but the AC does work in it!

You are better off starting a new thread then piggy baking this one.
Did you bother to even read the thread before posting!? The deal was done, car was bought, and previous post shows it in his driveway. Don't think this purchase advice was applicable.
How do you think he was talking to you when you never posted a picture and his first comment was about how the interior looked nice!?

Everything works but I am told it needs a fuel pump and I have a new one. I have many pictures but they are all over 6 meg taken with a high def camera so they wont let me download them. It is the last of an estate sale and his wife is open to offers or we can have it fixed for under a thousand.
