I've seen 17 and 18"x11" TTII's before, in fact they have them listed at the link posted above.

Thanks for the kind words, Mark.

I have Toyo brand, Proxes model tires. Fronts are 245/45, rear 285/40 to get as close to the 27" height of the originals. I believe that is part of what mrvette was explaining in his post.

I've worn these down and will look to replace with another set of the same. For the money, they satisfied all my needs. I got well over 32K mileage from them too. Not bad for el cheap-o Z-rated tires.

Coy's C-5 model wheels in grey spokes; the fronts are 8" wide with a 4" bs to emulate the OEM dimensions. Why introduce a problem that isn't there, right?

I'm around if you have more questions. Apologies to the OP; no intention to hijack. Just tryin' to help.

I think I will be going to team 3 wheels in san leandro calif 40 min from my house, my car has 4 inch l88 flares, full van steel coil over suspension. gunna go with 17 0r 18s around 12 inch wide or maybe 11 to get the 335s on there then 315 up front on 10 in a half to eleven inch up front.I still need to take some measurements, not there yet, im thinking of the euro version of the l88 head light kit.the wheels I really like are the Daytona 801 wheels with black centers, it would look nice with my big break kit, either 14 roters 6 piston, 13 in back with 4 piston.

Well its been over 2 months now since I ordered and paid. Coy's told me I'd have them by end of April.. now its towards the end of MAY! I called a few times and they say they will call me back but don't. I messaged the other day, no response. I called today and got a little attitude from the man on the phone. It's like he could care less if he sells the wheels. He said just order 4.5".. I said I dont' want 4.5". I paid you a couple grand 2 months ago for 4". He said they get an invoice and then the rims show up 3 weeks later in california and they have to go get them, then do machining to them. He said they have not got an invoice so its going to be at least.. LEAST another month.
I sold my house and have less than 2 months to get out. My car is on a lift with no wheels and tires on it. I'm screwed. I think I am going to have to order rims/tires from someone else who has them in stock.. this ticks me off.. Why can't they call the company they have making them and ask where the hell they are instead of giving me a little attitude for asking 2-3 months later??

Same thing happened to mw when I went to order from coys. They pretty much told me the 4" bs wheels only came in a few times a year. I couldn't wait the 3 months they quoted me so I looked into other options. I really wanted 18s, but I wanted to drive my car more. I'm happy with the wheels I got though.

Go with the 4". I tried 4.5 with a 5/16 spacer and didn't like having so few of threads on the wheel studs. Here is mine with the 4.08 back space from wheels for less

When I ordered my wheels from summit in late jan 2013, I was told 2 mo. When that came and went with no wheels yet, summit called the manufacturer. We were told another 2 mo. I cancelled the order. A few days later the wheels arrived at my door, direct shipped from the manufacturer. I took one out to the garage, put it on the hub, knew it was the look I was after and called summit to pay them, as I had already received my refund.
Ordering custom wheels can be frustrating. I went with 4.5" backspace too. No rubbing on frame.

I guess somethings never change. I went thru that with Coy a few years ago. Took about 3 or so months from the time I ordered until delivery. I got 4 inch BS up front. But those were the ones I had to wait an extra 2 months + for. They are having to deal with the China manufacturing plant.

I don't know if you remember some of the wheel conversations we had last year, but I "had" the same wheels as you for about 5 minutes. One wheel was damaged and getting it replaced was impossible.. after all was said and done I ended up getting TTII's like everyone else.

Sounds like Coy's have gave the run around to quite a few people. I was OK with the 1.5 month wait they told me about but now past 2 months and I got a little attitude from him and he said I have no idea when they are going to show up? Then he has to go get them, then machine them, then mount tires then ship.. He said at least another month or two.. 4 months? No. If I pay you for something, you gotta tell me when they are going to be in my hands.. guessing and being wrong then guessing again is not acceptable.

Yesterday, thanks to your suggestions, I ordered Torq Thrust II's from in 4.07 backspace. 17x8. Nitto NT555 tires. 255/50/17 rear, 245/45/17 front. He said should ship around wednesday next week

Now to get the front suspension back together (power steering just replaced last night), get these new wheels on, get it aligned, then find someone to paint it while I move into a new place

Don't know if it's still the case, but back when I got my 17" American Racing CL205's, all standard sizes were made in China, and all custom backspaces were made in USA. The CL205 17x8 with 4" BS was considered custom order and made in USA. At the time there were a lot of problems with the Chinese AR wheel being out of round or wobbling side to side. My USA wheels were perfect. Worth the extra $100 per rim I paid.

I ordered them from wheelsforless and even with it being a custom order I had them in less than a month.

This was a few years ago, don't know if AR still makes custom rims here.

^ Interesting. I really wish I could get the boss 338's in a 4" backspace.. I called and they said nope. Now I just noticed I can get the tires elsewhere than wheels for less and save alot of money.. wheels for less is closed till tuesday I need to cancel the tires or have them price match.

you can run the 338 with the 4.5 backspace. you would need 5/16 wheel spacers and longer wheel studs

Whoops I never updated this thread.. car lowered, new suspension, tires and wheels are on.. I added it to this post not sure if it will show up. I still have a wheel stud that just rotates in the rear.. I need to tear that side all back down and replace it

Nice! So what was the final tire/wheel size combo?
