Default Stinger Hood Question

So I've been considering putting a stinger hood on my 75 since I bought it. I see Ecklers sells them at $600 plus $195 truck shipping. Has anyone found a more economically friendly alternative, perhaps through another vendor???

And I will post in parts wanted to see if any of you kind gents are looking to sell one.

As always thanks in advance for the time and replies.

There's a guy on ebay selling them for $599.00. You have to ask him for shipping quote. He's in Myrtle BeacH SoutH Carolina. Maybe he's a little closer to you than Ecklers. Hope this helps you out.

I've been looking at them to my 1980.

I recall that Ecklers invented that hood a few years back so any one else swiped a mold and....

But I LOVE the 67 427 scoop on c3's the stinger part not so much, a way cheaper out and no hassles of fitting a hood would be score a good fiberglass 427 scoop and mold it to your hood.....

I put the Eckler's stinger hood on my '75. I like the look but the fit wasn't very good and lost some carb clearance.

Thanks for the info fellas. Love the look on that yellow beauty, but every other picture I've seen make the very front portion of the hood look a little high in fit. Might be best to just glass the scoop onto the existing hood, as suggested.

Funny as it is, I just can't get that hood off the brain, so one way or another it's gonna have to get done.

Default Ecklers Hood on a 74

The hood fit fine. I rased the fenders just a bit but that was it:

Brother man, just get off the cash and buy that 67 like you've always wanted. Bingo - problem solved.

I don't know, chalk me up as one who thinks the stinger hood looks tacky on the C3. It doesn't seem to belong. Perhaps it's just me.
