Default installing side pipes

I am wanting to install side pipes on my '74 roadster. Will I need to do any modifications to the body, cutting ? Thanks, Tom

That could depend on whose pipes you purchase. Contact the maker of the pipes you have in mind and ask.

There wasnt an original factory setup in 1974. Are you going to install 1969 pipes on the car?

GM side pipes for 1969 require cutting the fiberglass along the bottom edges. If you intend to use original GM pipes, my advice would be to purchase the 1969 assembly instruction manual (AIM) and follow the diagrams for the N14 option. The AIM shows where the trimming is required, the pipes, covers, and the associated stock hardware.
