A few more pic's

I think I am not gonna like the Gymkhana 550 pound springs, 1.25 inch sway bar but oh well.

About 3 weeks it will be off to paint...House of Kolor Candy Brandywine over a black base coat.

I guess I missed the Tranny Tunnel mat, I also have interior tranny tunnel wrap as well as new heat cushion stuff for the front floors...That might be a month or so before any pic's.

Thanks for the pictures!
The passenger seat upholstry doesn't look bad. Is the driver's seat much worse? Carpet looks ok too.
Tell us about the engine. Are those heads aluminium?

The seats are shot and have little cushion left. I have a complete new interior, cushions, springs, dash pad, door panels, carpet, console/gauge panel waiting for when this stage is done.

The engine is a ATK 375 HP 350 with Pro-Filer Aluminum heads (Dart)

I have 550 springs and I really like the ride. What rear spring?

I am currently doing a restoration on my car but before I took the car apart I had installed Vette Brake and products 550 front springs and the composite rear spring. I have a 7/8 rear bar and 1 1/4 front bar on it. The ride is comfortable but the 1 1/4 bar is too stiff because it under steers. With the rebuild I also installed Van Steel upper control arms and they told me to keep the big bar on it to see how it handles and if I go to a 17 or 18 wheel it may be fine but hat a 1 1/8 bar may perform better. One of the biggest improvements was the composite rear spring. I just noticed that your in Utah also!
Here is a link to my build. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-g...ld-thread.html

By the way the build looks really good. I think your going to like the engine a lot, just checked out to link for it.
Mine is just the old set up that I had before but freshened up but went with AFR heads this time where before I had World Products Sportsman II. It is very similar other than the heads and has a slightly larger cam. Just FYI the Weiand Stealth on mine with a proform carb and the stock air cleaner just lightly touches the hood insulation. With out the insulation the air cleaner rattled on the underside of the hood at idle.

Well, I had to re think the Long Tube Headers.....On the ground I had about 4 inches of clearance.

Ordered some Ceramic Coated Short Tubes from Summit on a Saturday and had them in had them Monday afternoon.

I was told they bolted up, dimpled for the bolts but where a little to tight and would burn up the starter in time.

Ordered a reduced gear Starter and had to clock it so the solenoid is upside down......No pic's yet.

Over the weekend they were working on hooking up the Quick Fuel 680

Also needed to order a QF Throttle Cable/Return Spring mount.

Ordered all new E Brake cables, brake hoses and all small parts while we have gone this far. All the belts are on, new A/C Compressor, rebuilt alt. new A/C hoses and old A/C hoses being replaced with new one made here locally.

I would have ran up the canyon for more pic's on Sunday had it not snowed here again

Saturday night they called and the engine was running so it is close to the next stage...The new interior.

Well it is 90% done with this phase...It is alive.

Still the little things like plug wires, wire looms and what not.

375 HP 350 sound more like it wants to be on a track than doing 55 MPH down the road.

New Short Tube Headers.

Had to opt for a Mini Reduced Gear Starter and clocked at 6:00 o:clock

Everything under this car is new and damn near everything in the engine bay....All new Head Light parts, lines ...I thought I had a pic.

(I added a "half-blanket" held on with stainless worm-clamps to the side of my starter that was closest to the exhaust....it helped even more.....no more "weak starter" after refueling during a long drive)

Well, not much new to post other than more new parts.....Replaced all the rear end seals as on was leaking....I guess the Diff was low and leaked when it was full....Get service from the PO. Replaced bought auto trans lines as one had a leak.

Dropped the tank, cleaned up and painted that and the area above it. New tank straps, felt, painted the tank.

Just buttoning up the little stuff and it should be ready for a test drive in a few weeks.

Karsten
