I understand they do. GM was known to have staff photographers take photos of record.
Based on photo credits in LiCastro's book (and other sources), The St. Louis Mercantile Exchange and the St. Louis Post Dispatch also have an archives section of plant photos.

I'm wondering why the nose- front emblem on the car facing us on the left has been masked?
My 71 has what I always thought to be a blend, EXACTLY like what is shown in the photo!

Hi WB,
Isn't that some type of envelope taped to the car with paperwork in it?
Regards,
Alan

Enlarged as much a I can and still can't quite make it out? It is amazing alike the aged paint on the nose of my car! Pictures don't show the difference very well on my car but this can be seen on pictures sent to me from the second owner, 72 time frame. First owner sold it in 11 months....hum

I just discovered there are literally hundreds of photos on Noland Adams' web site both inside and outside the assembly plant. He has a PowerPoint presentation of photos taken there during 1981.
Here's a sample.
There is an annual fee to access his website. In my opinion its worth it.

I think I see some rust starting to form on the frame.
And I wonder what "White Shirt Guy" is pointing to and bitching out "Coverall Guy" about.

Hi,
Looking at the next to last pic, the 69…
In the lower right corner it looks like a large bin with some sort of fasteners in it.
Then next to it a stand with 5 cans of fasteners?
They may have scooped up the fasteners into the cans in order to have a supply right next to them.
And some of us wonder why the head markings vary!?!?!!?
Regards,
Alan

Hi,
I remember going through the GM plant in Baltimore in 1965.
We were interested in seeing the GTOs being built.
It appeared the hood and trunk lid were 'fitted' using a 3' piece of 2x4 that the 'technician' would 'insert' in a likely place and then put his weight on the corner of the hood or lid to get the 'proper' gaps!
This was after the car was complete!

Alan
