Automatic Transmission Floor pan pics
I'm in the process of installing my automatic shifter onto my manual transmission 76 floor pan. I need pics of the square hole in the floor where the rubber boot and retainer screw too. Automatic transmission tunnels only please. Could someone please get these measurements for me? I tried to use reference points off of the floor pan, to the center of the bolt holes. This will at least get me close to where it should be. I'll use it as a reference.
Does someone have a photo of this I can use as reference?
Last thing. Is this bracket supposed to be offset more to the driver's side, or is my bracket bent?

For 76, the floor pans were different for AT and 4 speed cars. AT cars do not have 4 speed shifter hole you are trying to cover. The 76 AT pans do not use the rubber seal and metal retainer shown in your pic. 75 and earlier cars used those parts.
Here's the bracket.
The assembly instruction manual (AIM) would be a big help for you. Worth the cost.

That makes more sense now. Regardless I need to use the rubber seal and gasket now.
Does somebody have these dimensions?
I have the aim, but the catalogs show that the rubber gasket is designed for 76 as well.
