Default Looking for 69 Stingray to fulfill servicemember's wish

Hello!
My name is Kat Netherton, I'm a physicist in the DC area. My fiance is an Airman with the US Airforce and has loved the 69 Stingray since he was a kid, but he's never had the opportunity to drive one.

We're very lucky this year as he has two weeks of leave right around Christmas, and I am hoping to be able to give him the experience of driving his "baby" for a few hours one afternoon as a Christmas gift.

Does anyone know of someone who would be willing to help me with this? Like I said, we are in the DC area but I'm willing to drive a bit (and pay) to be able to give him this experience.

Thank you!
Katrijn Netherton

I'm up the road from you in Frederick. I may be able to help you out...'69 convertible, 427/435hp, 4-speed.

I'll be away about the middle of December but maybe we can work something out. Send me a private message and we'll see if we can work it out.

If it's my identity or my occupation that seems fishy, here is my linkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/katrijn-...ton/21/236/174

If it's the fact that my fiance is an American Airman, here's proof:

I'm sorry that my request seems "fishy" to you, I'm attempting to go about figuring out a nice present for my fiance in an area that I have zero expertise. Thanks.

Are you asking to rent a Corvette for a few hours one afternoon? The type of insurance I have (Hagerty's), I can't let anyone drive it but me and the wife.

Kalaway,
I'm hoping to find someone who can actually let my fiance drive but I understand many insurance companies doesn't allow it. Just figured I would put it out there in case I found someone who could let him drive. But otherwise I think he would still get a huge kick out of riding around in the car

Hey Kat, you are one cool chick to be trying to do this for your man!

He is a lucky fella to have a great fiancé like you!

Good luck!
