can anyone answer why the ncrs books show no cars built in april may or june my car was built on april 1st.

I don't know of any model year, where there were no cars built for 3 full months?

There were a number of years, when production was halted for a month or two, because of a strike (such as May 69), but never for three months. In 78, regular production was limited in March and May, and stopped all together in April, so that Pace Cars could be built. Still the line was never shut down, and April was the only month that no "regular" 78's were built, just Pace Cars.

Which NCRS books? A quick glance at the Corvette Blackbook shows April, May, and June production for every model year.

My 68 has a time/build code of April 20th.

During the "summer months" GM did a shutdown to re-tool for the next year production.
