I think it was on the rear deck, but that was a long time ago.

75-77 Corvettes used a curved label, that was placed on the deck lid, just below the gas door opening. The labels came in either black and white lettering. Black labels were used on light colored cars, and white labels went on dark cars.

For 78, the label was changed to a straight line. It was done in silver letters, outlined in black. The straight label was used from 78-80, and was placed on the car, as seen in Yellow1980's post.

Default dark red

having the darndest time trying to figure out if my dark red '75 came with white or dark letters!...........anybody out there know for sure?........dark red is one of those colors that is right between dark/light,............since the word "dark" is actually part of the color name, I am leaning towards the white letters, but I want it to be correct!..........thanks in advance

Any forum sponsor sell these decals and not charge $10.00 to pop one in an envelope for shipping?

Anyone here buying any goodies from Corvette Central that might consider complimenting their order with a few [prepaid] 'Unleaded Fuel Only' decals to pass on to Forum members? I'm sure there are a few members that will gladly send a check covering the decal, an envelope and the first class stamp.
It's not that I can't afford the ridiculous fee to 'ship' a two bit decal from Corvette Central (which is a great vendor by the way ) it's that I feel somewhat insulted paying big money for shipping something that can be dropped into an envelope and mailed for far less than a dollar . I'm sure there are others besides me with freshly painted, decal missing, cars that would be interested in a group buy.
RB

Save a black one for me .
