I gave up a college education. I was 18 and wanted a vette more than anything else in the world. I got a good paying job and bought a vette instead of going to college. I still have the same vette that I bought 40 years ago.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Happy for you that you quit drugs.

The first brand new car I ever purchased. I know no one here likes them, but it was a fun car. Still glad I have a Vette in the garage though

I gave up happily this P.O.S Ford, will never own another one. Couldn't even sell it, had 8 grand in it, so I parted it out. It was a joy watching the grappling hook grab it off my trailer when I took the stripped body to the scrap metal yard. Thanks Craigslist, I recovered 6 grand and put it into the Vette.

My time!! At least 15 - 20 hours of overtime a week....that's slowed down now so the bigger stuff the Vette needs like a paint job, will just have to wait. It's still fun with ugly paint though!!

I gave up boring weekend drives in the summer and nothing to do in the winter.

I sold a 1962 corvair to buy the vette. Then sold an ar15 and an ak47 with tons of ammo at the height of the gun scare early this year (for considerably more than I had in them) to fund getting it on the road.

Sold a 68 Camaro I spent four years restoring, and got to enjoy it for one summer...
The money from the Camaro went towards paying off the CC debt incurred during the resto and got me started on restoring the Vette...yes, it only got the ball rolling, little did I know how much I would actually spend There were times I remember thinking how I wish I'd have just kept the Camaro when I found that Vette parts were twice as expensive, and there's twice as many of'em but in the end I got what I really wanted in the first place...a C3

Didn't need to give up anything, very thankful for that. Just decided it was time to fulfill the dream.

I love mustangs, Wife's favourite.
Wish she had one right now to drive while the Vette interior is out.

Power-to-weight ratio on a mustang is incredible.

I sold my 2001 HD Wide Glide. I didn't want to get killed riding that bike,, but other motorists insisted on attempting it. I now feel safer behind the wheel than the bars.

Only time the two were together. Sold the '96 the day it came out of storage to start working on the '69.

Also gave up thousands of $$ to be able to fix it and time I should have probably been hanging out with hot chicks.
