It is always easier to pull the drivers side seat when working under the dash on these cars. 4 Bolts and seat is out of the car in less than 10 minutes. Then you have all the room in the world to lay down on the floor board with your feet up into the cubby space and poke around under the dash.

I just replaced the horn switch in my 1977 about a month ago. You can pry off the horn at the steering wheel with just pulling on it hard or using a screw driver wrapped in cloth and prying it off. Pops right off. This is the part I replaced.
The ring and horn switch assembly is 3 screws after you remove the cover on the steering wheel.

tried a new relay and stilll nothing,, looking through the forumI found some ways to test the horns to see if they acually work and they do.. They also worked with the relay off and jumpering some of the wires in the connector that the relay plugs in to.. Is there any way to test the contacts or connections under the horn button ?? Thanks

You may have to reuse the horn plunger because the one I found in my kit to be too long and the horn sounded off consitantly after I installed everything in this kit. I had to do mine twice. Good Luck fixing your problem

I suspect the very high humidity we had here on the east coast contributed to my problem. Time to put that AC in he garage to keep the moisture down.
Careful putting it all back together. The spring must push the eyelet onto the tab of the upper assembly.
