Default Virginia Body Shops Richmond area prefered

Does anyone know of a good body shop for my 69? Body is off. Also, what frame shops has been used for blasting and paint/coating in the area? Thanks

I sure had not, I didnt know they did body work. I thought they were parts only. How reasonable are they?

Mikes,
I am glad I saw this thread.
We do not perform body work here at Zip Corvette. We do mechanical repair and restoration, however we leave the actual body repair up to the customer to decide.
Feel free to give me a call to discuss if you would like.

My 69 Just rolled out of the paint booth, Wish I knew how to post pics, Located in Norfolk Va but I'm sure your car is well worth the 2hr tow or ride for this kind of quality. Give them a call and I'm sure they would send you detailed pictures of Rays viper red vette.

I'm in central VA. Collision One is in Mechanicsville down the road from ZIP. They do outstanding work, but on the pricey side. Ive never heard of fantom works, id like to check them out for myself.

Id like to know that myself. You would think shooting one vette over another should be about the same price.

Because of my situation (The bringing back of a totaled vehicle) we have not come to the end of the journey yet, so I can not answer that question. If it where me I would take serveral good pictures, give Dan (owner) a call and e-mail him your pictures. @ least you'll have a starting point for your price hunting.

Give Beau from Collision one a call. He does all of my paint work. If anyone every saw our black C6 in Carlisle he painted that car. He is doing a 73 for us right now.

I know a guy, he just painted mine but I'm not 100% satisfied because I'm very picky and there's a cple things that stick out to me in person, but all in all he did a good job, especially for a weekend warrior that will see many rock chips.

Pm me. I don't have his number cuz he lives right around the corner from me o I just stop by when I see him

No secrets here. I paid 2500 with cut and buff. But I also did all of the rough body wok and alignment, and he finished it off.

Is that what you really want? That is asking for you not to be satisfied with the overall job and then nobody to go back on or warranty. Call Collision One, they will make the car look perfect.

Will they come to look at the body? Obviously I would not want to take it all the way there for a quote in its current condition.

I am sure they do good work, however when watching the show, be prepared to pay 30-80 grand to have your car worked on there

and not for nothing, the satin paint job they did on the 57 wagon on the show was far from stellar, showing quite a few imperfections in the body work, I also understand, they supposedly messed up and were not suppose to do the full paint job originally, but I surely could have done a better paint job in my barn, given I know a thing or two about painting a car....I was surprised that the 57 rolled out like that
