What kind of vette would you buy?
If you had enough money to buy any kind of Corvette which kind would you buy?
For me I've always wanted 1980 C3 and that's what I have.

Mine would have to be either a red and white '58 or a blue '63 split window coupe.
Third would be a 68 thru 72 convertible with a M21 4 speed and cold A/C.

68 - 72 coupes were always my favorite. I`d add a 69 BB.... so our 71 (in progress) wouldn`t feel so lonely!

I'd have a pro build a spot on original [looking] Penske blue with black interior Grand Sport replica coupe with completely modern Corvette running gear (Magniride shocks and all). The car would be fitted with an LS1 smog legal crate engine and six speed manual trans. It would also have all the creature comforts and sound deadening we take for granted in a 2013 Corvette. All controls and gauges would be fitted to a sixties looking dash (skip the NAV and LCD screens, thank you). I'd also use modern comfortable seats.
That might be fun.
