Default Help, Glass T-top is coming unglued

Hey guys,

I bought a set of nice glass tops from a guy on here when I was rebuilding my 77. I think his name was Andrew, I think he was a supporting merchant?

Anyway, on the road yesterday and started to hear a noise.. Come to find out my pass side top has separated from the frame and weather striping.

I have called around to some glass companies and they all said take it to a trim shop.

Now its not completely off.. Just on the drivers side and front part.

So how do I stick it back down?

Should I find someone who can remove it completely clean and reattach or should I just buy a tube of something and squeeze it in?

Any and all info is helpful

Thank You.

Sorry, no help, but I have the same question! I just noticed a similar separation issue on the right-hand top of my daughter's 79. I would be interested in how to reattach, or if there is a company that can help. I have bad (expensive) visions of this coming completely apart at speed.

That happened to me on my 82. I seperated it completely and used 3m window weld from summit racing. It's been about a year and its still attached. Worked for me, but I'm not sure if they're still adjustable or not.

The right side came loose on my '78. I ordered an acrylic one piece top from Astro Tops for $399 + shipping. I looks almost as good as the original tops, seals up good (No water leaks) and I don't have to worry about the glass top coming off at highway speed.

Just an update..

I took the top to a Windshield glass company and $106 bucks and 48 hours later we are as good as new.
