Default Lower control arm ball joint bolts Q

I know I saw the info. here before but can't find it through the search. When installing my new ball joints to the lower arms, does the big odd shaped bolt go in the front or the back of the arm?

Look like they go on the front per the instructions I have. Not sure why it matters but my old ones are installed wrong then.

There is a picture here.

I don't think it matters either. I think it is a steering stop, but there is another steerign stop 'tab' welded to the LCA which is actually what does the stopping. I remember someone saying at one time that the odd bolt might be included in the kit for some other type of car that the ball joint fits on.

Not required for your car but they usually end up on the front.

If you can still use the old ones, you could just put the small ones on both sides.
