Turns out I forgot to bleed the brakes, with the wife home we got that done today
She says they seem touchy, what do you want, they have not worked in 3 yr's..

Coming across to the header with the trim, then the dash after I check out the rest of the circuits.

Looking good, wish it was there.

WOW 2K for one hour, that's a long time! I've run it at between 2 - 3K (vary the RPM every now and then), for about 25 minutes. The Lunati I just put in directions said to run it at 2K (also vary every now and then), for 20 minutes then bump up 500 for 1 min, then another 500 for another minute all the way up to 3500, then same interval back down to 2K then you're done

I hope to be doing that this weekend

The first run was to be 2K for 30 min, As I was sitting there letting it run at idle 950 - 1000 to warm up, then up to 15oo a little longer, then finally 2K once it reach operating temp of about 200 there I let it sit and run. I was thinking since I can not road test it, what would it take to run from here to Las Vegas. 2K (or 75-80 mph) for 1 hr. on cruse. So I began running it at 2K for 1 Hr. Better I get a problem here than out there.

I'm under the impression that there is no warm up period, as soon as you can get it up to 2K then you do, well that's my under standing and that's what I've done on two cars so far without issue. If I'm doing it wrong I hope someone will speak up because I hope to be breaking in my new cam this weekend.

I got the doors mounted and the latches in place, will work on windows next.
Once I get the on hand parts installed I'll have to do yard work.

For Gods sake take your time I've been putting on doing yard work while I do the top end of my 350, maybe I'll be able to get some yard work done this weekend...

Douglas, your car gets better looking by the day. That car will be heads and shoulders above something that came off of the assembly line. You've got to be proud but tired. One day, as you are driving along enjoying the ride, you will forget about all of the head aches, at least for awhile. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you for the kind words....
One good thing is you know every nut and bolt, so if it's not right you know where to look.

During the break in I developed a knocking, after speaking with the builder and doing some field test he ask for it will go back to him. Once the intake was off I found metal flakes in the valley, not large but still flakes....

Me too, makes me sick wen I think about it......The last time we pulled the motor the rented lift would not get it over the nose of the vett, we had to use a floor jack to drop it to the floor to clear......then we could not go straight in from the front,, but rather from the side. PNA
