Default rebuilt front suspension and cut 1 coil *pics*

Finished rebuilding front suspension Saturday, we also cut one coil out. I put on Bilstein sport shocks and love them! The ride is much better than my old shocks, they have a nice positive feel to them and are not harsh at all. Thanks to all whom recommended them, they are well worth the money.

Yeah I do need to put the molding back on

Which end of the spring did you cut the coil from, top or bottom?

My springs were the same top and bottom, I did put the cut end on top though, made it easier to put back in. I have the Gymkhana (spelling?), suspension so my spring may be different than others, I know that some springs have tighter coils on top.

Both the guy that helped me and I looked at the springs and we couldn't see a difference from either end so we just carried them over to the chop saw and cut a coil

My 73 L-48 has the original springs in and the car has always set too high, at least for my liking. Great for going over speed bumps though . . .

Speed bumps, rumble strips, other assorted pot holes and UN repaired roads in totally trashy shape, much less the roads they 'fixed' and messed up the job to bad they are almost UNusable.....

I refuse to lower the car.....

much less pay property taxes ever again.....

Nice stance!

The top picture looks like you had pulled the engine.
