Default '69 350/300 Roadster - Market Value

All,

I've come across what appears to be a decent 300hp roadster... but need a better understanding of current value. I really have been searching for an L46 car but this one might be worth looking at.
Numbers matching 350/300 roadster, no tank sticker, matching 4 speed and rear end. 62,000 mile car, decent interior (from pics), motor has aftermarket parts (from pics but kept originals) and factory side pipes.
How rare are side pipes on the base 350?
Given that the Canadian market seems to be pulling bigger $'s than in the states... just looking for a guideline on the base 350 once I go look.
I'm just looking for a price range on a car that may need some elbow grease.
Asking is $27,500... really like the side pipes!

Thanks,
Chuck

At 27,500 it had better not need ANYTHING.
No way to know how many side pipe base motor cars. If it is an original pipe car it is one of just over 4,400 out of over 37,000 69's made. ( I don't have the books in front of me to get the exaxt numbers.)

c69vette,

Thanks and believe me I agree with you at that price.
Our Canadian market seems to be stronger but I'm just looking for a base line for a 300hp roadster...
Let's assume a decent number 2 car with some motor modifications... where would that put this car price wise in the USA?

I'll have to trust you on rates of exchange, but $27K US would be on the high end for this car.

Exchange is almost even at the moment.
I know member 350corvette just sold his L46 coupe for $23.5 last week... I'm guessing that if I landed this one in the $22-24K range (assuming it didn't need much) I'd be doing OK?

I can't help on that, but I agree $22K is more reasonable than $27,5K.

Good luck.

I think 25 would be a fair price, it seems that 69s bring in most out of the bumper cars

23.5 is very strong for a coupe. A nice side pipe roadster with numbers should be in the range you are thinking.

The 22-24k range would be fair.

remember, when the top goes down the price goes up. verts were 3 to 400$less back then. now the vert option cost more than those cars cost new.

Well lets just say the search continues....
This poor guy is in for a shock as his roadster isn't worth much... sagging passenger door, needs paint, cracking on the front fenders at the seams, needs rear bumpers, needs seat covers, console and the list goes on... too bad.
Thanks for all the input guys... I'll keep looking!
