dash covers
Don't get one. I purchased a dash cover from zip and the grain is not even close to my interior. it' a cheap flimsy piece of plastic. It cracked when I tried to fit it in my car. I's a $169.00 lesson, I have a 1980 with red interior. Not worth trying to save $330.0.

I just bought a 78 in November and it has a carpet piece on top of the dash that says "corvette". The dash is not in bad condition but I assume they wanted to protect it from sun induced damage. It might be an option to consider.

Burning Brakes
I have the same carpeted top pad with corvette written on it. Although my dash top is wrecked underneath it. I don't plan to fix underneath it anytime soon either as I am satisfied with the "cover up"
