Default Craftsman torque wrenches on sale

Just FYI, ran by Sears today for other reasons but went to peruse tools as usual. The Craftsman Microtork click-type torque wrenches were on sale- regular $79, sale price of $39.

Bought both 1/2 and 3/8 as I currently own none. Figured Craftsman would be a good start.

Hmm. No idea why pic is upside down. Not so in Photobucket. Part #s are 931425 for 1/2" and 931423 for 3/8".

They simply HAVE to be in with China and competing with Harbor Freight.....which is not necessarily BAD,

BUT, you have to get a older torque bar with the gauge on the handle and so watch the pointer as you compare a setting with the clicker wrench one on one.... that means older, being in a flea market....
yard sale.....

I have a HF tq wrench and it came out fine against my standard of a old Matco with the pointer on the handle....

if the quality is still the same as the ones I bought years ago they will be fine. I've tested mine with a digital torque adapter and mine are right on

I bought the same one a couple months ago. $40 for the 1/2 inch drive and so far it seems to work pretty well

That's $10 off. Just talked to a sales guy on the phone.
