Finished the interior in my 77!
Hello all! I'm very proud of myself, so I have to post pics in a new thread so they don't get buried in my build thread.
Here's a link to the build thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-g...otsa-pics.html
For those of you with a keen eye, you will notice that I have swapped a 78+ dash into my 77 car and a removable rear window as well.
I also wasn't too crazy about the carpet on the deluxe door panel trim, so I kinda went with a semi-deluxe look. I am also in the process of buying non-broken steering column cover pieces (the reason i didn't bother painting them) and a 78+ piece so that you can't see the wires.
Also, would anyone know how to get surface rust off of the brushed aluminum steering wheel?

If you look to the left of the speedo, where the wiper switch should be, I have created an iPod Nano dock. I wanted to stay away from using the ash tray to keep the stock look. (no smoking here)
I wanted the t-top strap to with the black of the carpet, so i bought a grey one to continue with the color scheme that I've got going on and I think it looks pretty good.
when I got the car, there was no carpet on the wall behind the seats...
good shot of the broken, blue steering column cover
front
rear compartment area
I also rebuilt my seats and I will never do it again! I thikn they look pretty good for my first time. It was a pain in the butt and I'm glad I got the experience of doing it. Having said that, the decision has been made that I will pay someone whenever I need seats rebuilt just so i don't have to deal with it.
Thanks for looking!

Thanks everyone!
M and t's77, if it wasn't for you showing me that it could be done, I wouldn't have attempted it. The swap actually wasn't that bad. The hardest part was figuring out where the speedo/tach cluster wires connected to the molex connector behind the gauges. Once I figured that out, it was pretty simple.

Thanks sarge!
John, I made sure to get the 140 speedo because I plan on going over 80...lol. I also have an L-82 tach
Thanks Brandon
Vette_20, thanks. It was definitely a pain in the butt, but totally worth it in the end.
