Thanks Brian
Glad to see you know the Monaro , or in a slightly different form the modern Pontiac GTO.

Lovely car but I think the Monaro looked a little nicer than the Pontiac front ended version - just my opinion of course :-)

Thanks ....however from what i read of US auto assembly in the 70's that may not be as hard as you think :-)

Just spraying up the rear seat belt trim covers, door pulls and a few other trim items in Royal Blue and they can sit to dry and when i get back home from work travel this week it will be ready to go back together :-)

Did not like the colour match on the door pulls so painted them up with matched vinyl paint.

What I like about forums like this is seeing what others have done, and using it as a reference or guide as to how something should look or could be done.

Don't know how many photos from Alan 71 I have used as reference and to that extent a benchmark to aim for.

Washed the Vette for first time in many months on Saturday. Nice to have all the dust off. Did engine bay as well as we have an event on Sunday.

Hi Craig,
Your car looks just terrific!
I'll bet you're very pleased and proud.
There's so much attention to detail and obvious care in re-assembly evident in each picture.
Well Done!
Regards,
Alan

Thanks Alan

Yes it is all starting to come together nicely, very happy but so many more projects to go.

Sometimes I find that being a very detailed person can slooooow things down :-)

But its all fun.

Craig,

Wonderful car and you do wonderful work. This thread is an inspiration for my 69 vert. I HAVE to get it running for my birthday this summer. Best of luck and keep up the good work !

71 is on the road,
now the fun with the body work will start after the summer.

Love the 5 speed , 2,000 rpm = 65 mph. The rebuild gave me 400 hp and 440 tk , car is a blast to drive... and easy on gas.
