Thanks Vetteman1981, appreciate your comments.

Will be interested to see the Coys on your 81, I think they are a great mix of modern size with retro looks.

BTW this is my first resto so it only takes trying, making mistakes, perserverence, time (and some money for plating, parts etc) to get it cleaned up and looking good, and be assured there are parts of my vette that are still dirty. I will get to them trust me :-)

I will post pictures in the "C3's with 18" wheels only" thread and in my garage. I am sure I will need to lower it some also. That may be next winters project.

Overalll I am very happy with the look.

Looks great! You also seem to own my favourite Aussie car. Love the Monaro, too bad Holden stopped making them. Don't know what the National bevvy is in the CT, but hoist one (Carlton perhaps?) in honour of the poor bastards in the north that have 1" of ice all over everything.
Cheers

Was finishing of the polish and wax and my "E" fell off.

Seemed to have its original speednut just holding but previous owner had hot glued it on !!!!

Some small strips of body tape and a new speed nut and all good.

Will pull the others when I get time and do the same to them.

Gave all the chrome work and wheels a polish.

Wheels were wet sanded first 1000, 1500, 2000 as below, ready for Powerball

Chrome is in OK shape for its age but came up nice.

Here is a a few shots over the last 3 days from Summernats 2014.

I ended up getting into the Top 60 Street Finals again this year but the quality of the competition meant that was it :-)

Am in the US for work but manage a few interesting visits along the way. Should get to the NCRS event in Kisseemme as well.

Went to Foose Design earlier on Friday and finally they are getting close to finishing the Impala of a Vette frame. Going into paint and hoping for March.

Also refinishing the same Boyd custom they redid last year.

I went to Muscle Car City today in Florida, wow what a great collection of mostly GM cars.

Was worth the 5 hours drive from orlando to get there and back, would happily do it again.

Great collection of Vettes

You didnt like the holes in my rear deck? I thought they look better than the luggage rack.

No in fact I did not even notice them initially and had always wondered what it would look like with my rack off.

I took the shot to remind me to give it a try.

Were they just the normal plugs that the rack bolts in to ?

I think this is the first build thread I've ever read , page 1 till the end.
Absolutely mind blowing the attention to detail and the knowledge you have.
Wish I had a 1/4 of the knowledge and patience you have, I'm super impressed, awesome thread.
