OK, now that there's yet ANOTHER option for posting/uploading pictures, maybe all members will find this process to be pretty straightforward.
Here's the latest option offered here, using the INSERT IMAGE icon:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/help...-pictures.html
So now there's THREE easy ways to post pictures at the forum:
1. the standard cut/paste IMG link from sites such as Photobucket
2. the use of the "paperclip" icon to Attach your image off your computer
3. the use of the Insert Image icon, with step by step instructions provided at the link above.

Burning Brakes
I thought I could limit access to my photobucket account in the past. Now when i (or most people) use photobucket it allows anyone to just click on the pic in the forum and go right to my photobucket account. Not that I have any big secret photos but I really don't want just anyone having access to my family vacation pictures. Is there a way to just link to one picture or one album within my account?
Ok I just figured out how to lock my Photobucket account to a Private setting. Not sure how it was made public as it always was private. There is a "lock" next to the "your bucket" heading and by clicking on it you can lock the public out of your account or select folders.

Posting pictures on site
Can someone please explain the steps involved in using the paper clip icon to post pictures on the site? I can't seem to find the directions anywhere. I would prefer using this method rather than photo bucket method. Thanks in advance for the help.

While this thread has served its purpose well, we have had to create a new one in light of Photobucket's decision to no longer offer free third party picture hosting for forums.
This thread is being unStickied and closed and will ride off into the sunset. There's too much here to just delete it!
Please refer to this new thread in the Sticky section:
