pulled out drivers seat

NASTY!

wire brushed and vacuumed a bit

Exposed a little rust.... I ended up filling some pinholes with JB weld and covered the hole with thin sheet metal, I did not document this unfortunately.. it will probably need new floorpans in this portion eventually although the part under the seats is rock solid.

sealed up holes and coated entire floor with undercoat

Sound and heat Reflectix insulation down.

Carpet and seats back in.

Dd you remove instrument panel to paint it or masked everything around it? I am also in the process of redoing my interior and thinking if I should remove the instrument panel/dash to reprint or mask around it

haha no problem, I would have pulled it out but its REALLY fragile.. plus theres a nest of wires back there I was mortified to touch, the TOP part of my dash was already black so it was not horrible to tape off the middle part. I think it came out excellent looking although I spent a lot of time taping everything. Good luck ! make a thread too

^^ Looks great! a little dye goes a long way, no point in shelling out 600 bucks for door panels that don't need to be replaced!

Took the vette out for the first day this year today

I didn't care for the tan/black seats, but I personally would rather have the tan interior than the black. IMO, a tan really lightens up the interior of any car. But it's personal preference -- my C3's interior is black too. I respect the amt of work it was.

I'm like the flip out screen from the stereo... thinking of doing that in mine ! Do you find the screen 'flimsy' at all ? What make/model did you go with ?

(PS love the interior, but due to the colour of my car, I'm best to stick with 'Doeskin' !)

Thanks

Stephen

What type of insulation did you go with? Is it heat and sound insulation? Pleased with its effectiveness?
