I have paid double that for wrecks. Enjoy the car and have fun restoring it or modifying it. They are a lot of fun and you will learn new curse words and how to combine them into sentences.

you are gonna have fun. It will take a little work but each time you drive it consider it a small victory!

And L82 has the L82 logo in the tach and a higher red line. Also the valve cover and the intake are aluminium. So yours look like an L48.

Do all L82's have that logo in the tach? I'll have to check mine because I don't remember seeing one.

You might want to check your math. Maybe 34 years old?

You did not mention installing a new battery in your original post that listed what you did to get it running. You had to use jumper cables? Please tell me that you were not able to use the original battery.

Well that would suck a bit if your right,i did check some pics online for L-82's and the rpm also go's to 70 and no L-82 emblems, could this be maybe diffrent in canada or the us?I thought i also read that the L-48's automatic and the 82 automatic has same engine set up in 79 with dual snorkel air intake but only L-82's have a auxiliary electric engine cooling fan>?
