it is a 91 firebird convertible . 1 of 950 made that year. 305 tbi automatic car. of course its a project but not too bad. while there were several years of f body verts made , this is supposed to be the first year for a factory built vert since 1969 from what im reading on the web.

Nice, congrats!! My dad had several Trans Am's while I was growing up, including an '89 that he raced and I've always loved them.
I just did a google search and found ls1lt1 . com can't speak for how good a forum it is, but seemed to have a good bit of info...
Good Luck

My first car was an 1984 Camaro, so I have a soft spot for third gens. But I would have to say that they might have even worse build quality than our cars.
And they have a lot of flex, even the hardtops. I had a 1987 GTA that had a crack developing in the sheetmetal where the roof met the window frame. I've heard of cars cracking the windshield on hard dragstrip launches. But a good set of subframe connectors should tighten her up.
And I think all the convertibles were a conversion by the American Sunroof Company, it just became a regular RPO option in the later half of the 3rd generation.

Why do a second gen tribute when you can do a Corvette tribute.
Behold, the TransVette!
This beauty lives just a couple of miles from my house. This picture doesn't show the plastic scoops held onto the hood with double-sided tape. You can kinda see the black and white checkered bra.
I think the IROC and RS convertibles are the best looking of the 3rd Gen Camaros. The notchback look really works for these cars.

You could try 'Teck or Team Camaro..or go to the 'F Body section right here on this forum. Very good site for Camaros and Firebirds. ..For a few years I thought I had one of the first and the last SS`s in a 67 and 002........the New one ruined that ....No sence keeping all my high dollar Camaros anymore
