ETM: Yep. Dark Claret Metallic- kind of a maroon/red/brown, depending on the light. Not "rare" but only about 8% of the '80s got it. I have the Dark Claret interior as well. Mine's a respray but the original color (unless GM's paint jobs were far worse than I think...) If/when I get it repainted I'll stick with the same color.

Agreed '80-'82 are the most beautiful of all the Vettes. There is not a bad angle on it...

The 1980 vette did 2 things , One it modernized the c-3 which allowed the series to close out with style. And the second thing it did was state big ******* where in .... Which made the eighties a pretty good decade !

AC/DC just released their work on iTunes finally. Can't beat cruising in the Vette listening to the 1980 "Back in Black" album. Makes me want to grow a mullet and jam!

(My wife and 13-yo son may disagree, but I'm pretty sure the son secretly likes it.)

Maybe. I sold it to a Kuwaiti in Colorado in 2006 I think. It had an oyster interior and the mileage was pretty low then... 50k or so. The engine was mostly stock, but for an Edelbrock intake, comp cam and headers. It had a Hurst linkage too.

Can you show a picture of the inside? I really like the deep red and am curious to see the matching interior.
