Custom built speaker box for my 73

Very nice box! As a experienced box builder I wanted to give a few suggestions. There are very few subs designed to be used in a free air environment due to the fact that they do not work very well at all, and you will get a limited amount of bass out of them with a lot of distortion. I suggest sealing any box built for subs if at all possible.
Free air is great for door style speakers. for instance 6x9" where you just have to separate the front from the back.
Also when building a box, it is best to use MDF wood. Plywood can splinter in an accident and could potentially stab you. Also plywood is flammable. MDF wood is made from sawdust and crumbles and is flame retardant.
Just do not breathe in the MDF dust as it contains formaldehyde and is poisonous!

That's a real nice job. I just had a complete sound system installed in my 72 coupe. The only draw back was I ended up using my whole cargo area (no room to store t-tops).
