Default Eckler 68-72 L88 Hood

Does anyone have experience with the Eckler L88 long hood that eliminates the wiper door? I am considering buying one for my 70 small block car and would appreciate any info you might have on it.

My 69 has had a long hood since they were first on the market. No idea if the one I took off was an Ecklers' hood or not, but it did fit very well. The one I have now is from Vanacor- just before they closed the doors.

Not on a chrome bumper C3, but I've been very happy with this Eckler's long L88 hood since installed, circa 1980...

Suggest you leave the cowl closed off unless you intend on doing the full L88 CAI airbox and breather system, and to install the correct rear hood seal/weatherstrip either way.

I aprreciate your response, your car looks great! I'd like to do the whole air box set up and install an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake on the motor.

Thanks for the compliment.

The lighting that day was spectacular and in combination to the freshly waxed silver paint really highligted the body's lines. The hood accent was inspired by the Motion phase III scheme.
