Well, I just hit 12 years, earlier this month, so I guess that puts me in the old timers club.
Anyone know how old the Forum itself is now?

I'm still here at this thread too. I see lots of familiar names here from back in the good old days when I posted all day and all night long. March of 2000 or something like that was when I got on. It almost seems to me that it was before that and some of us lost our post counts and names and stuff once but I don't remember for sure.
BTW, Merlin the man is gone from here, but the car did get sorted and running nice. I saw it at the home of the guy who bought it from Steve, then again at a car show with a different owner. I believe it's in Texas now if my memory serves me right. It wins pretty much every car show it goes to. (and yes they do drive it there)
Do you guys remember when we all got free web pages for being a forum member?

I'm glad that Merlin's car got dialed in. The last I heard, the guy who bought it from him still hadn't solved the rapid overheating problem and it just wasn't very usable. Thanks for the update.

Maybe we'll be around long enough to see Steve (Merlin) and Monty (I think it was Monty that built the Twin turbo 80's model) back one day to do it all over again.
good to see all the old timers posting again

Getting in here is one advantage to being exceptionally old...

Okay, I talked to George Daina (GDaina) and his password expired but hopefully we can get him fixed up. He said the forum started in February 1999.
I remember Mountainmotor. It would be cool to see him signin.

Ya, you're an ol timer.
I remember we corresponded via email when I was building my 454. You helped me a lot. That was between 2002-2005.

Hey, I guess I'm an old timer also
I don't post much anymore since completing my '69, when I went from this.....
To this............
But I would not have been able to do that without this forum

That was a great site, with nice archive filled with old vette scans.
Sometimes I miss Monty and would like to see him come back and finish the other C3 he started after the wild Twin Turbo...
Merlin was nice build to follow, because it didn't come out my checkbook...

Twinnie's and Norwal's posting was always entertaining yet educational...

Only seems like a couple years but I'm still here after 11 or so years.
Put in a ZZ4 and rebuilt tranny in last winter and this winter I'm almost done with new Phantom gauges and new carpeting. Everything should be done Sunday night.

Been here since 1999.
Finally got the stroker installed, Borgeson steering box.
Still less than 50,000 original miles! I don't drive it like I used to Old age has taken its toll on me. Will be 70 next month.
