Help me pick a color for my 73!
I am having my 73 Corvette painted right now, and we're getting close to the actual painting part! I originally wanted to go with the "Inferno Orange Metallic" from the 2010+ Camaro's, but not sure now. I have some black chrome Torq Thrust II wheels to go on after, so I want it to look good with those also. I really want it to "pop" and stand out in a crowd, but not like neon green. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know! It also (if you can't tell from the pics) has a stinger style hood, and I DO want to keep the stripe down the car! The car is currently a metallic gray, with a black stripe.

Paint it a color you will be happy with regardless of the wheels. You might change those or get tired of them. The paint is a big deal so if you have half a mind to sell it later keep that in mind.
What color is the interior?

Interior is black. The black chrome wheels aren't really black... just a dark chrome look. Keeping most of the interior black - going to paint a few trim pieces like the wood grain on the doors to match the exterior. I really love the Orange, but still keeping an open mind. That blue looks a lot better on the old vettes than the new ones!!

I'm really happy with my Crystal Red Metallic and Carbon Flash Metallic, but at $3,700.00 for paint materials, you have to be sure that is what you want.
That ought to be enough pictures...

I do like the firemist orange. I think you do have to be careful, though, with orange and black - too much and it'll be known as the plastic pumpkin

The color is something you are going to have to decide upon yourself. I love the Warbonnet Yellow but others simply cannot stand it. Not much help with the answer you're looking for but I can sympothize with the decision. I am getting ready for paint next spring on my 69 and have changed the color probably 4-5 times so far (and have spanned the entire color spectrum). Got alot of beautiful Vettes on this forum which doesn't make the decision process any easier.
Good Luck

Definitely keeping the scoop! I had some overheating issues before I added it, and mine is functional. That with the front spoiler have made HUGE differences in my engine temps... Plus it's different and I like it!
There are A LOT of beautiful cars on here which doesn't help! The blue and burgundy cars above look great! My 2010 Camaro is dark blue, so probably not going that route for that reason.
The oranges (two) I'm looking at are Inferno Orange Metallic, and Atomic Orange.. both not cheap, and both have quite a bit of metallic which I think will show off all the lines of these beautiful cars.
