Hawaii Five-O showing a C3

Vette
It was definitely a '73...unless some one went to a hell of a lot of trouble putting a different rear end and bumpers on a later model. From what I could see, the quality of the car was 1st rate.
What I was most interested in, however, were the aerial shots and the angle of the photography. One of my next projects is to get my ladder out on a nice day and try to take a few from a similar angle...I loved the profile of the car shot from above at a 1/4 angle off the rear, if that makes sense.

Now if we can just get Steve to drive it since Catherine drives like a chick but McGarrett will burn the rear tires off of it

Drifting
She was driving around in it . It is a 73, chrome rear bumpers and plastic nose, only year for that. It was either an L-48 or L-82 as the hood did not have "454" emblems. Good looking car.

pretty sure the side view mirror was the dead give-away.....
Pretty sure they started in '74 the round plastic like a '78 has, that makes it no newer than a '73.
only question is the front bumper, but pretty sure that nose emblem takes '68 - '72 off the list.
fun game....8-)

Hawaii Five O C3
Been watching the show from the beginning and when they showed the blue Corvette for the first time I was like oh joy she driving a 73. This is my favorite C3 because it the last year of the chrome bumpers (rear) and first year of the 5 MPH front bumper. 1974 was the first year of the boat tail bumper that would be on the cars until the final year of the C3. Hope this helps out everyone. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...es/patriot.gif

In this past week's episode, Cathryn has engine trouble while driving and opens the hood to reveal a great shot of the engine. Appears to be an L48 (orange solid valve covers, no 454 emblem on hood), with AC. Very original looking.
In the interior shot, note the lack of a driver's seat shoulder harness.
When she looks under the car, note the original air dam.
Nice to see a 73 get some good exposure. But hey, I may be biased.
