Default Heater Air problem

I am having a problem with the distribution of air coming from the heater and air conditioner. Little if any comes from the top and front of the dash. It blasts on the bottom vents. I have replaced the heater control vacuum select switch and that gave a little bit of defrost air but not much. On air conditioning it all comes out on the 2 lower vents. Been battling this issue for a couple weeks. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I replaced my selector switch only to find that when I selected max a/c or a/c that the air came out of the floor outlets. When I moved the switch to vent the air then would come out the 4 upper vents. From here if I select a/c or max a/c the air discharged from the upper vents. Since that's not how it is supposed to work I returned the switch....

Default Heater Air Problem

Resolved a big time operator error. Vacuum Select Switch has a pole that was not connected. DAH. Working as designed, once I took the time to follow the install process. Thanks for assistance anyhow.

The pole on the plastic module moves back and forth. It must me connected to the heater control. Send me an email and I can take some pictures and return to you. jwoodhous@mchsi.com
