Default What would a L82 4Speed 25th aniversary be worth?

Car has 50,000 miles, 2 owners, previous owner has had it for 15 years, 10,000 miles on it.

It is an L82, 4 Speed, Mag Wheels, Oyster Leather interior, painted t tops, Paint is original and a little faded, has a small crack in passenger fender (looks like he got a little close to something) but he didn't want to fix it because of original paint. I don't have pictures of the frame or birdcage (honestly i don't think most people know how to even inspect the birdcage, or that it even exists), the car is 400 miles away so its very hard to look at unless I decide to actually buy it.

So how much do you think it is worth?

Looks like it could be a nice car. What is the seller asking?

He wants 10000, but I'm not sure how much new paint would cost (if it came to that the hood looks pretty oxidized, and it needs new pin striping) and at that point if there would be better cars out there.

IF the frame and birdcage check out, I think $8,000 would be reasonable considering an L-82 with a 4 speed is not very common on a '78. You may upside down on it once you spend the money on paint and whatever else it needs, but I think being an anniversary model with that drivetrain, you will most likely make your money back if you keep it for a few years.
