74 Center Console
I need to remove the Center Console on my 74. I guess for starters, how does the bezel come out? The one around the heater controls? I get it loosened up but the Astro-Vent controls wont allow it to come all the way off. Any help or links showing a how-to would be greatly appreciated.

check Wilcox, Corvette fever Mag, etc. and most important is the AIM for the 74.
also check out this thread and do a search, I am sure that there is more info on what you want to accomplish.

While this manual say's dash pad.. it covers the shift console in detail... http://willcoxcorvette.com/repairand...lp.php?hID=105

I just looked at a video I made when I took mine off. I removed the shifter **** and the four screws and lifted it right off. I'm sure mine has been off in the past because my TH400 isn't from a '74. Is it possible that there is just a gasket or something that is just sticky and holding the bezel to the controls. My controls are screwed into the console.

Why not order the 74 assembly instruction manual (AIM) from Willcox? You're going to want the AIM for more than console removal.
