They look really familiar, but I'm thinking they came in a kit with something.
I'll think about it some more but my feeling is they are not factory, maybe some of these other guys will recognize them.
(If I start getting PMs with offers of big bucks for them I'll let you know. )

Ya know, it's guys like this, who have more money than brains, that artificially inflate the price of things, and make life more difficult for guys like us, who don't have a money tree growing in the backyard. Look at Barrett-Jackson, it's the reason you see rusty old station wagons in the classified ads for completely outrageous amounts of money. It's like if a guy brought his wife flowers every day; he's just making all of our lives more difficult, once your wife finds out about it.

Wow, if they're going for that kind of money, you'd think someone would be making them...can't be that hard or expensive.....

Yeah, but they wouldn't be "original", they would merely be "re-production", and therefore, not worth nearly so much.

After seeing this whole thing, I'm more than OK with our bastard child non-numbers, rubber bumper, not worth anything, not collectable, non-popular, get-to-do-what-I-want-to-it '77 Vette.

Yeah, but no judge could tell, and if guys are willing to spend $400 each for the originals, $25 or $50 for a repro would be a bargin....

I'm very happy that someone else "ruined" my 1970 forever. It's not quite "Bubba-fied", but I did notice a couple of long drywall screws holding the rear of the center console down when I last had it apart. Need to do something about that...

Most things are done very well on my car, which pleases me, but it is FAAAR from original. Original APPEARING, yes...no flares or white-faced guages.

But it is non-numbers matching and I'm as proud of it as I would be a museum piece that I just spent $800 on two bolts for.

The bonus? I get to drive mine.

It shows that if you have a rare and desirable car, you can ask for the moon and get it. eventually someone will come along.. even after most of us laugh at the asking price.

4 people bid 285$ and up on these.

The bidders set the buying price. The seller only set a base asking price...if that was too high he wouldn't have gotten any bids.

OMG! During my cleaning of the garage this spring, I must have thrown out thousands of dollars of valuable bolts, washers, and nuts collected and stored in coffee cans which I NEVER used after storing them. Well, not to late to start saving again towards my lavish retirement.

Maybe I should have saved that old wiring harness that I replaced. Probably will be worth at least a thousand some day!

I guess if that is the last piece of your master piece and you got to have it to complete it you pay what ever it takes. I had no idea that a bolt could mean so much to someone.

My thoughts exactly,I gave buckets to the guy that bought most of my parts and gave even more buckets to the scrap guy. P!zzin away money,my dad's probably rolling over in his grave.

On wiring harnesses ,its always a good idea to save the connectors, they don't take up much room and almost always come in handy in the future,if not for you for a buddy.

Just looked at this thread and like everyone else , i can say i am totally flabbergasted

How many judging points would you lose by not having these bolts on the car ?? where would they go ?

I don't get it !!!! no car is 100% original unless its been stored in a capsule after it left the factory .
