if your thinking about sending your seats to be recovered... think twice and either do them yourself or buy them done and send in the core later....... been waiting since xmas... talked with 2 more people today... one actually said, oh what are you thinking it might take until july..... the other said another 2-3 weeks even though he said 2 weeks ago i should have them this week.. its just been a complete mess..... lesson learned.....

Seems Corvette America has good and bad periods. I ordered mounted seat covers for 79-82 seats, custom made in a '71 color. They told me 3 weeks but 2 days later I got a shipping confirmation email! Very happy with the seats, btw. Color is perfect. This was about a year ago.

I ordered kits fron Dr Rebuild (Oops! I said a bad word!). My seats were done two days after I received them. It takes fewer tools to recover a seat than it does to brush and floss your teeth...

I think we tried to dissuade you from this course. Might it still be faster to have the vendor send them back, and include the required materials to do them yourself?

when you get them make sure the side fluting is not pulling towards the center of the seat I sent mine back 3 times before they got it right,, no joke they tried to use the same seat cover over!! when they sent it to me the second time but I marked it on the inside too see if they would change it or not .I got it back and it still was pulling and my mark was still there the whole ordeal took me close to 6 months,, they also charged me 35.00 for welding after my welder at work already went over them with a fine tooth comb ( very meticulous to say the least) it was a very bad experience

I just had my seats done. I had the seat bottoms blasted, painted, welded and a few springs fixed along with carpet put in. The car was dropped off Friday and picked up Tuesday! I think they are giving you the run around!

Are you working with Willcox or CA? Willcox usually monitors this site pretty closely. Maybe we'll hear from them soon. Willcox customer service is great. CA - not so much.

Damn, I had mine reupholstered locally and it took the guy 6 months. I was lucky as the car was off the road at the time for winter. He told me about 6 weeks when I took them in !!!

My Brother is an Upholsterer, set of seat covers is an afternoon, maybe two is there's adjustments to be made.
It's not particularly hard, just take your time and make sure everything is laying nice and straight and pulled snug. Remember there will be some wrinkles or puckers here and there (they weren't furniture and things have bent/sagged/stretched/shrunk over the years anyway, and that's just us...forget about what has happened to the seats)
Bring yours back, clean off a worktable and cover it with a nice heavy blanket. Call a buddy over for beer/help, and do them yourself.
