Thanks guys for your comments, I kinda feel bad now after realizing how good of a deal it was.
When I went to look at it, the seller really didn't offer to push the car outside or even move the stuff around it. Had he moved the other car parked next to it, I could have had a better look. Also it was to close to the wall to see anything on the passenger side.
When I made the offer I really hadn't seen much of the car and I assumed there must be something seriously wrong with it. The owner told me it was sitting for 10 years and never mentioned that it ran or came with extra parts, he just wanted to get rid of it. He had just bought a new Jeep and wanted the space for it.
I wish I had met this guy a few months prior ...
More to this saga .... My brother in law had been chirping about an all original paint # match 1970 340 4 speed Duster he we was dealing on for the past year and a half. He talked about it at family dinners, yet was tight lipped of who or were it was. Turns out it belonged to the owner of the Vette. He had just sold the 1970 340 Duster a few months back for $8000.00 (if I would have known I'd own it)
Just goes to show you never know what's in peoples garages around town.
