It's not much, but I was determined to have a garage with the housing boom in '05 when I bought my first house. I built the 3' deep workbench in the back and engineered the wall shelves using a wood cleat (need to shim out the lower most one)

My humble workshop fits 5 cars. The display area also has the bar (2 beers on tap and some good aged whiskey on the shelves):

Lift is handy for storage, and makes body lifts an easy 1-man job:

Engines lined up for building. You want to keep the work close to the bar at all times.

Carbs lined up for rebuild and testing - each carb is given a 30-minute test run profile on the Mule Engine before beingt accepted and shipped:

"Mule engine" on the run stand is used to test all carbs built in the workshop, and the stand is used to run-test all customer engines:

The water was not fit to drink. To make it palatable, we had to add whiskey. By diligent effort, I learned to like it.

No, but I did suspend work for several weeks last spring because 2 families of house wrens nested in the fenders. I lacked the heart to evict the cute little things, and you should have seen the neighborhood cats trying to snag the nestlings through the "gill slits" as they grew up!!! This year I have made certain the birds will not slow progress.
