best car wax

I just spent 5 hours washing, using clay bar and applying Zaino Z5 and ZFX to my 08 Victory Red coupe. That thing was covered in hazes and spiderwebbing like most dark colored cars. I was somewhat skeptical, but after just one coat of Zaino, the spiderwebbing was noticeably diminished, and after three was virtually invisible. I don't know what this stuff is made of, but it's amazing. I don't know what the long-term durability is like, but right now the paint is bright, amazingly glossy, blemish-free and silky smooth to the touch. This car is new to me, and she looks like I just drove her off the showroom floor. Amazing.

Best Wax? None. I never use wax on my car and have been told by more than one pro body man that they never wax their cars. The closest thing I use is Jax Wax spray on detailer with a microfiber towel.
Not that I would wax this primer thing you see in my avatar, but I have had cars with paint

Wanna check out a really informative website about auto detailing, try looking at Autogeek and then go to their forum. Tons of information on that website.

I've tried tons of differents wax and the one that work best for me it's mothers cleaner wax that i used once a years for the last 20 years and after that i used the show detailer from them for the rest of the summer. My car was painted 23 years ago. I took a pic of the side of my car and as you can see there's dust on it from the winter and it still shinny.

My experience has been that they all look great when you first use them depending on the amount of prep you do first, clay bar etc. As far as easy to use and long lasting, I have had great luck w/ Zymol, most Meguires products, and Nu FINISH 2000 lasts the longest if you don't like waxing often!

Waxes are passe', now that polymer polish exists. And, Zaino is the best polymer polish around.
All polymer products can be put on the car in any condition (just ask me...I lived in Phoenix area for 5 years and had to quit using wax!), including hot, direct sunlight; it can be left 'raw' on the car as long as you wish; then you can easily buff/polish it off. And if you used Zaino, it wouldn't leave any white dust/powder in the creases of the car.
What's not to like???? Dump the waxing....

Tim, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I have been detailing Corvettes for 40 years and Zaino is easier than anything I have ever used. Zaino just spells out on their site the steps needed to make a car look good regardless of what product you are using. If you simply want to wax over a car that has grit and contaminants in the paint you can do that with any product, including Zaino.
To make a car look wet and shiny, without swirls, requires that the surface be washed, clay barred, polished and then protected. It's the same with any product. I can do that on most cars in about 4 hours depending on how much correction the paint needs. Once the paint is where you want it your monthly regimen only takes about an hour.
If you live anywhere near me, bring your car and I would be happy to go over it with you.

Damn, I wish I lived closer to you - I would even supply the beer.

Preparation...preparation...preparation. That's the secret regardless of what wax or sealant you use.
An inexpensive wax or sealant over a properly prepped surface will look better than the most expensive product on a poorly prepped surface.

Well, that expensive Swiss wax is collected from the ear of only one, special cow in the Swiss Alps. It takes 6 years to collect 3 pounds of it. You get what you pay for...

I used PoorBoy's for the first time, it went on easy, came off easy, smelled great, look-wise probably not the shiniest but just like any other wax Ive used. And I know....its not pure wax, it is advertised as wax with sealer .... whatever the hell that means...

Agreed. That's definitely not wax though. There's zero orange peel. That's hours of wetsanding (1500, 2000, maybe 2500, then machine compound and machine polishing). As long as you keep that from oxidizing, any wax-type protectant will make that look like a mirror.
