FWIW, I'd vote for either the period correct USA-1 or the NCRS plate. Personally, I'd lean towards the NCRS plate if the upcoming event is NCRS sanctioned.
If you are having the car judged by NCRS, don't forget to put the GM stainless steel plate frame on the plate before mounting and use the right (typical for production) mounting screws. All Corvettes were delivered with screws and 2 frames(front and rear) and the judges will be looking for/at yours.
Good luck in the judging.

Does anyone have a closeup photo of the stainless trim ring mounted on the car?
I have one of the originals. I will need to pick up another original or repro to put on the car.
I think I will try to get an NCRS plate for the car for now. I will probably take off the front plate and bracket after judging.

The NCRS TDB is currently in the process of being upgraded and I haven't figured out yet how to search, otherwise, I'd direct you to a recent thread on the subject.
Since I can't find it to share with you, go to Paragon's web site and see theirs. They are not exactly the same as the OEM frames, but only very minor differences.
Sorry I can't get you directly to a pic. Hope this helps some...

I hate running a front plate....but it's the law here. So I lowered mine and angled it back. You really can't see it standing around the car...It's not as noticiable as the picture shows.

My car was from California originally and presently in Pennsylvania.
I found a correct year '68 black/yellow registration from CA.
Being my car is yellow and black anyway it complements it well.
I have not permanently installed it yet I'm going to put it in one of
the stainless frames as described in an earlier post. Just got to find a good replica, most look cheesy.
A year specific plate from a state I think is really cool
