Default 1974 Baldwin Motion-esque type custom nose on Project Corvette

I have been seeing this for sale for awhile now. I DO NOT KNOW THIS PERSON, just thought it was interesting, the nose has styling cues from the Phase 3 Baldwin Motion cars, would be a great car to build into a clone / tribute car.

Looks like a cross between a Ferrari and a Datsun 240Z

Look like 240z lights (look at the "angled" areas over the lights) put into an 80-82 nose. To my knowledge, Motion never did that.

Looks like a take on the Motion Manta Ray with some newer end cap updating.

You sure about that? Not in an '80-'82 Nose, but the lights sure happened.

I was not implying it is a Motion - I am sure it is not, was saying it does have a similar look, I bet if someone got this for the right price, could be worth converting to chrome bumpers, make it look like a Motion...

I don't think anybody thought that. You're right, it looks like someone was trying "Motionize" this 'Vette. ...and aside from the newer end caps, didn't do too bad of a job. I think if all you did was put the correct year bumpers on it, it would look pretty cool.

I doubt it.

I bet this car could be bought for 3500-4000 and if it did have a nice fresh big block and the rest of the car checked out, might not be bad, that is all I was saying, not talking dollar amount / collector value

Yes I am. While they ARE single headlights, they AREN'T Motion headlights. Below is a '73-up Motion clip. There is only one angle where the opening meets the fender peak.

On the car in question there are TWO angles on the top of the opening. These single lights likely came from a Z car.

Those are not from a 240Z.

Those are "eyebrows" that the owner customized.

Hey, I didn't say that! How'd you get MY name up there. I see what you're saying about the bottom point on the opening though. I didn't see that before. I thought you meant they never had that style of light in a 'Vette. I misunderstood. Still, it's very similar.

I'm not 100% sure..but I think that blue car has 280Z headlight buckets..I believe the 240Z (not sure on the 260Z) are rounded like the Motion/ Sbarro lights..I have a pair of 10th anniversary 280Z 1981 Light Buckets and they have the ridge. and I have looked at several 240z's in books and they don't have the angle..I think it would look cool though as a Motion Clone..or even just cleaned up with the Daytona nose fixed that's on it..kinda different

Looks like an attempt at making a DIY 'Batmobile' to me. Not a bad rendition, if that's what you want. But, you could really mess that front end up hitting one of those concrete parking space 'stops'.
