home made speaker box

Mine is similar
I don't have photos but I made a wood piece, put four 6 x 9" speakers in it and grilles on them and put it in the back across the back of the shelf area. I don't have a sub woofer or want one nor is the unit screwed or bolted in...but the sound is very good for riding and I can play it quite loudly. I have a modern panosonic radio with usb input as well and have a flash drive in it with 35 hours of music. I never listen to the radio, just turn it on and listen to the music as I generally prefer listening to the engine and the dual exhausts.....along with the wind.

Hi boltnut,
Here's some pics of my rear setup. Made up a couple of panels from fibreboard to hold the
speakers (6x9 splits now).
These panels are attached by the seatbelt retractor mounting bolt
and just push in at the back (there is a small lip on my wheel arch, the screw that's visible is for mounting the crossover).
The amp is mounted(with spacers) on MDF which
fits snuggly against the rear bulkhead (no bolts/screws) & the speaker panels hold the amp panel in place.
Hope this gives you some ideas.
Cheers

Burning Brakes
See if you can find a sub/amp combo? They are very compact and the sound quality is very good with some thump. It wont turn your vehicle in a boombox dho .
