White interior on Vert - hassle to maintain?
I was wondering if any of you have a convertible with white interior (seats, dash, door panels, not carpet) and could advise for or against this choice.
Does it get very dirty very easily when you drive with the top down? Have you found any interior materials that seem to be easier to maintain than others? Is this a really terrible idea if I'm going to drive it almost every day (SoCal)?
Thanks for the advice!

Ed - Thanks for the reply. I hadn't planned on dumping ketchup all over the seats, haha, but someone suggested to me that the top down, city dirt and grime would just make the whole thing gross very quickly. I feel reassured.
Paul - the plan is LeMans blue exterior with pin striping around the big block bump in the hood (I'm so technical) and a white box on the rear, white soft top, white interior. Should look slick but I don't want to spend my life detailing the interior after every drive.

But I doubt that Corvette America, Al Knoch, or whoever would make those in white for a 1974 convertible with pass-through shoulder belts.

A white combination was offered during the 76 and 77 models years. These two pics just happen to be the red/white combo; other colors were available. The white combinaton was never available in C3 convertibles.
For some of the C2 model years, white was available.

If you are going with vinyl seatcovers/panels, put a coat of Nu-Vinyl or other polymer protectant for plastics. Meguiar's makes some, as do other companies; I am partial to the Nu-Vinyl and have used it for over 30 years. It will coat the surface and keep dust/dirt from imbedding in the vinyl. All you need to do is wipe the surfaces off with a damp cloth when you want. If you have leather seats, do similar process with a good leather cleaner and balm.
I've had a convertible with white vinyl seats and, if you wipe them down when you wash the car, there are no negative effects to having white interior.
